Wide angle to super zoom The XG-1 packs an impressively versatile lens with a brilliant wide angle and a stunning high magnification. The addition of a Macro mode will help you capture fine details from as close as 1cm away. CMOS image sensor The 16 megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor will help the XG-1 produce incredible images. It's highly sensitive, which allows for superior image capture in low light with little noise, so you can take great shots even at night time. This CMOS sensor works with motion sensors in the camera to form Ricoh's Shake Reduction (SR) system, automatically counteracting any vibrations to deliver a sharp, blur-free image. High speed shooting Capture subtle movements and fleeting moments with the XG-1's Continuous Shooting mode. The XG-1 can take approximately nine frames per second at full resolution, making it ideal for snapping fast moving scenes or a child who won't sit still. You can increase the shooting speed further, as far as 60 frames per second, with a slight dip in resolution. Combined with the Auto Tracking Auto Focus function, the XG-1 will automatically keep any moving subjects in focus, helping you take sharp images, even with fast-moving subjects. Full HD video capture The XG-1 can record Full HD movies at a frame rate of 30 frames per second, for high quality extended movie clips. 8 digital filters (such as black and white and sepia) can be applied by simply using the i button, or enjoy creative playback features like High-speed movie mode. The micro HDMI port makes it easy to hook the XG-1 up to an HDTV and show off your movies to friends and family. Clear view The XG-1 features a DSLR-style design, complete with large grip and an electronic viewfinder to help you keep your camera steady and frame your shots like a pro.
