Husband and wife team Charles and Ray Eames revolutionised 20th Century furniture design. The Eames’ works have proved to be real ‘designs for life’: they’re iconic art pieces and objects of desire, yet utterly practical. Originally made in fibreglass for the 1950 MOMA Low Cost Furniture design competition, the DSR was the first industrially-produced plastic chair.
