This Dancook barbecue is a very good example of a simple, no fuss, elegant and practical Danish design and manufacturing. The simple lines of the charcoal coloured spherical base combined with the domed stainless steel lid and simple sturdy leg structure will look stylish in any setting. The assembly is very clear, quick and easy to do. This model has a patented spun metal inner liner (that sits on the rim of the outer spherical base creating a cavity between the two) with equally spaces holes around the upper section to allow warm air to flow up from the base through the cavity into the cooking area creating an even cooking environment. The cavity creates insulation making the most of all the heat thrown off by the charcoal. It is 50% more efficient than other similar models on the market meaning that you will use less charcoal than normal. A real benefit is that this inner liner catches any ash from the charcoal and grease from cooking and can easily be removed, emptied and cleaned leaving on mess on the ground. The round shelf triangulating the legs is a useful surface to place cooked food to keep warm. The sturdy steel charcoal and cooking grill are made from Ø6mm rod. The air flow and therefore the temperature is adjustable by turning the ‘wheel’ on top of the spun stainless steel lid. The lid can be hooked on the side of the barbecue when not using it.
