Burleigh's famous deep cobalt blue Calico print has been made continuously for over 40 years. Although unique, this pattern was derived from early Victorian designs which had their roots in Chinese porcelain. Burleigh's’ statement design since the 1960s, Calico was inspired by 19th Century indigo coloured fabrics. Quintessentially English, Calico is the essence of country living, yet smart enough for town. Each piece is handprinted by skilled artisans who train for seven years, making every example a unique testament to time honoured craft skills. Made in England.
