Despite its minimal volume, it is very warm, and it works well both over or under a shell jacket.The Men's Pak Down Jacket is made using pliant Pertex Quantum fabric and insulated with high-quality down in box channels to minimise heat loss. The side panels are constructed without seams to prevent chafing under the arms, and are filled with the synthetic padding Supreme Microloft for the best possible fit. The shoulders also have synthetic padding so they can handle pressure from a backpack and still insulate well.The hood has a one hand adjustment at the back and an elastic band around the opening that stops cold winds. Two hand pockets with zips, of which the left has an internal telephone pocket, and the right has a pocket for valuables.
